The Dalby Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) is delighted to announce that the annual Business Excellence

Awards will be held on Saturday the 21st of October 2023.
This will be the 26th year of celebrating and acknowledging local businesses, and the Chamber has re-invented the awards, with some exciting changes, kicking off with a launch on Wednesday the 19th of July at the Russell Tavern.
DCCI President, David Briese, said “Dalby is extremely fortunate to be home to many successful and resilient businesses, and we want to celebrate that in the best way possible. We have done this for 25 years, but we really want to make this one different, not only the Awards evening but also the application process.
“Dalby Chamber was one of the first to introduce face-to-face site visits in 2015. We’re leading the way again by being one of the first Chambers engage qualified judges that will conduct the site visits rather than a group of volunteers.
“We want to ensure businesses that spend the time putting in quality written applications progress through to having a site visit that adds value to their processes and systems. I don’t want to give away too much though as we’ll be revealing all the changes to the awards at the launch on 19 July.”
The Business Excellence Awards provide an opportunity for Dalby community to celebrate their many businesses, while also lifting the business acumen of those engaging in the process. Working through the applications allows them to reflect on their business, their strengths, what their values are, and what is ahead of them. A series of free workshops will also be held for applicants, assisting them with the process, while also presenting educational information that will provide them with long-term tools.
“While there are changes with the application process, Dalby Chamber is preparing for the awards night to be bigger and better than ever. Business is tough, and the evening will allow the community to connect with each other, acknowledge their hard work and just celebrate.
“It’s a big event for our town, and will also allow suppliers to showcase themselves locally, whether it be as caterers, trophy designers or event planners. It is all about keeping it local and building profiles,” Mr Briese said.
A launch will be held at the Russell Tavern on the 19th of July, where guests will hear about previous winners and what the changes in the application process include this year. Nominations will open on the 20th of July.
“We encourage everyone to get involved. Whether it be by nominating a business, putting in an application, being a supplier or sponsor, or attending the awards evening,” Mr Briese said.
